Rates

I find that an hourly rate works best because some students have an essay in progress that just needs to be tightened up or expanded upon. Other students need guidance from the topic conception all the way through execution. There are students who would like help with the supplemental essays and those who are interested in having a mentor review all aspects of their Common Application. Whatever the need, I am here for it.

• Work is billed at $100/hour, in 15-minute increments.
• Billable time includes phone calls, virtual meetings, edits and revisions (no charge for short calls or quick emails/texts).
• At contract signing, a $500 (5 hour) retainer is required, from which the above services will be drawn.
• Any unused portion of the retainer will be returned.
• Following depletion of retainer, invoices will be sent monthly.
• After an initial parent(s) call, parents may attend the initial student consultation.
• Billing begins once the first questionnaire is submitted by the student.
• All writing and editing meetings are scheduled directly with the student.
• Any changes to scheduled appointments should be communicated in advance of meeting time, ideally a day prior, although I understand the exception.
